Happy Pi Day!!! I'm celebrating not with a real pie but with something a little less traditional but equally as delicious, an Apple Pie Smoothie! Ah, America sipped through a straw. If you ask me, this splendid concoction features an entire apple with all the familiar spices you know and love. Celebrate with me, throw everything in the blender and let's be grateful for pie! I mean Pi!
Apple Pie Smoothie
- 1 red apple
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Dash of nutmeg
- 1/2 tbl maca powder
- 1 tbl almond butter
- 1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1 tbl chia seeds
- 1 cup almond milk
- Couple of ice cubes
Get cooking:
- Dice and seed the apple. Place diced apple and remaining ingredients in a high-speed blender. Blitz until creamy.
- Enjoy!
